Pro and your account

Every feature of Switchify is in the free version. The one limit is a session timer: the accessibility service runs for one hour, warns you with ten minutes left, and then stops. Turn it off and on again in Android’s accessibility settings for a fresh hour, as many times as you like. A new session cannot start while the device is locked.

PC control, including Switch Forwarding, is free and works without Pro or an account.

Pro removes the session limit, so the service runs until you turn it off. It also unlocks the on-device AI features below. Pro is bought inside the app on Google Play, as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The Account screen shows your subscription status. Prices are shown in the app and on www.theswitchify.app/pricing.

The AI submenu of the menu has two Pro features. Both need Android 11 or later.

  • Reply Drafter captures the screen and suggests replies to what is on it. You can add guidance, such as “be more formal”, and regenerate. Select a reply to copy it to the clipboard.
  • Screen Highlights captures the screen and pulls out things you can copy: links, phone numbers, email addresses, dates, addresses and more. Select one to copy it.

They run on a model that works entirely on your device; nothing is sent to the cloud. Set it up under Settings → General → On-device AI model:

  • On most devices this is a one-time download of roughly 3 GB. Keep the screen open until it finishes; it pauses if you leave. You need enough free storage.
  • Some devices have built-in AI, in which case there is no large download: choose Set up built-in AI.
  • The model is Google’s Gemma. To download it you must agree to Google’s Gemma Terms of Use and Prohibited Use Policy, which Switchify shows first.

You can delete the model at any time and download it again later.

An account is optional. It syncs your preferences, so a second device or a reinstall can restore your settings. Sign in under Settings → General → Sign In with your email and the six-digit code it receives, or with Google. The same account works in Switchify PC.

Sign out asks whether to clear the preferences on this device or keep them.

On the Account screen, choose Delete Account. Switchify asks whether to clear the local preferences as well. This cannot be undone.

You can also request deletion at www.theswitchify.app/account/delete.
